Kaiapoi Rugby caters for all grades of JAB Rugby

Under 6 & Under 7 (Rippa Rugby)
Under 8 (First year tackle with no pushing in scrums or contesting in lineouts)
Under 9 & Under 10 (No pushing in scrums or contesting and lifting in lineouts)

Our junior grades from Under 6 to Under 10 are played as non-competition games focusing on player enjoyment, teaching rugby skills and playing a team sport.

Under 11.5 (No pushing in scrums or lifting in lineouts)
Under 13 (No lifting in lineouts)

The above grades include the slightly different laws of the game as it is important for the players to be taught the correct techniques of the game with safety being paramount.

Normal laws apply in all following grades

Under 14.5, Under 16 & Under 18
